Roy Orbison to get Walk of Fame star
After much debating about who the public gets to walk on, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has unveiled the honorees to receive their own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2010.
Of the 200 nominations 28 were selected to be "cemented" on a star during the Walk of Fame's 50th anniversary induction ceremony that will take place next year.
In music, the beneficiaries are Ringo Starr, Chaka Khan, Van Morrison, Alan Jackson, ZZ Top, the Funk Brothers, Bryan Adams, Marco Antonio Solis and the late Roy Orbison as well as composers Alan Menken and Randy Newman.
Film stars slated for cement include Adam Sandler, Russell Crowe, John Cusack, Emma Thompson, James Cameron. In the the TV category, the recipients include are Jimmy Kimmel, Sam Waterston, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Peter Graves.
